About the event

Are you clear on your #purpose? Do you want to use your skills to benefit the greater good?

Join us on June 3rd at 12pm PT for a conversation with Dr. Akhtar Badshah, the former head of Microsoft's philanthropic efforts, about his new book Purpose Mindset. Dr. Badshah will share key learnings from his decades of work in the social impact sector and will help us understand how we can each cultivate a purpose mindset and use our skills to benefit humanity.

Purpose Mindset is much more than a case study of Microsoft and it's philanthropy (although that's fascinating!). Rather, it uses examples from Microsoft's current and former employees to introduce a concept of "purpose mindset" that individuals and organizations of all sizes can adopt to harness and cultivate talent in a way that connects to the greater good. This triggers a virtuous cycle of attracting and retaining the best and the brightest employees, improving business results, and expanding the impact on the global community we share.

About Akhtar Badshah:

Akhtar Badshah, led the Microsoft Philanthropy program from 2004 to 2014, Akhtar is now a professor at University of Washington and recently wrote Purpose Mindset: How Microsoft Inspires its Employees and Alumni to Change the World.
