About the event

Join the Women ConnecTech group for a lunchtime discussion about the uses, wonders and dangers of tech.

About this Event 'It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.' - Albert Einstein, 1946

Lloyds Banking Group Women ConnecTech are teaming up with CodeClan, to bring you an engaging and interactive lunchtime look at this fascinating topic;

  • Hear from a panel of experts about the good that tech enables us to achieve, the negative impacts or misuses that exploit it and enjoy a light hearted look at how we're all getting on working remotely, in dispersed teams or with new technologies.

Allison Lawrence - Recently graduated with a Master's in Marketing from the University of Edinburgh, where she studied social media, specifically TikTok, in depth for her thesis. Her dissertation focussed on why consumers use TikTok, in order to inform brands how to incorporate the platform into their social media strategy. Over the course of user interviews, she has gained great insight into how consumers view the platform, how they use it and their perceptions of brands joining.
